萨拉特·钱德拉·达斯（Sarat Chandra Das，1849年－1917年）印度吉大港人，印度藏学家。

生平


达斯生于东孟加拉（英语：East Bengal）吉大港一个印度教徒（Hindu（英语：Hindu））家庭。他早年入加尔各答的管辖区学院（Presidency College（英语：Presidency College, Kolkata），管辖区（Presidency）指孟加拉管辖区）。1874年，他被任命为大吉岭的菩提寄宿学校（Bhutia Boarding School）校长。


1878年，一位藏族教师、喇嘛伍金嘉措（Ugyen-gyatso）为达斯取得了赴扎什伦布寺的护照。1879年6月，达斯和伍金嘉措自大吉岭启程赴西藏。他们在西藏逗留了六个月，并带着许多藏文和梵文文献回到大吉岭。这些文献成为达斯日后从事藏学研究的资料。1880年，达斯一直在大吉岭研究这些资料。


1881年11月，达斯和伍金嘉措再次赴西藏。他们考察了雅砻河谷（英语：Yarlung Valley），并于1883年回到印度。[1]


他曾经一度作为英国间谍赴西藏从藏族人、俄国人、汉人那里获得情报。在他离开西藏后，他的使命曝光，许多之前和他友好的藏族人都遭到了报复。他在大吉岭度过了余生。他将自己家命名为“拉萨别墅（Lhasa Villa）”，并在这里招待了许多知名人物，如查尔斯·阿尔弗雷德·贝尔（Charles Alfred Bell）以及河口慧海（Ekai Kawaguchi）。1882年，他会见了海倫娜·布拉瓦茨基（Helena Blavatsky）和亨利·斯太尔·奥尔科特（Henry Steel Olcott），这两个人都是神智學協會的创始人。


1917年，萨拉特·钱德拉·达斯逝世。
